This is a mindfulness based stress reduction course based on the principles developed by Jon Kabat -Zinn. Over a period of eight weeks you will develop the skills needed to manage stress and balance emotions through gentle inquiry, reflection, and meditation . You will learn to bring mindful attention and kindhearted awareness into all areas of your life, creating a greater sense of peace.
This course meets once per week for two hours for eight weeks. You will learn the basics of mindfulness, gentle yoga stretches, and meditation in order to begin your own practice. You will leave with a suggested list of activities, resources, and practices.
